President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended the country's celebration of Labor Day Thursday 28/4/2016, which is organized by the Egyptian Trade Union Federation (ETUF).
The event was attended by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan, Chief Justice of the Supreme Constitutional Court Adly Mansour, presidential adviser for national projects Ibrahim Mahlab and presidential adviser Kamal el Ganzouri.
The president delivered an address to the nation over the occasion and honored ten veteran unionists and two former employees at the Manpower Ministry.
During Labor Day celebration, Sisi announced allocating EGP 100 million from ''Long Live Egypt Fund" to the emergency fund of the Manpower Ministry to offer labor aid and provide support to floundering sectors, such as tourism.
The president said he re-assigned the government with fulfilling the needs of citizens, controlling prices, fighting overpricing and preserving the dignity of Egyptians, inside and outside the country.
He also underlined the importance of improving the production quality in order to launch an Egyptian industrial base and raise the slogan of "Made in Egypt".
The government pays special attention to providing health and social insurance to workers, he said, pointing out to their crucial role in the society.
